Data4Rural will define an innovative VET curriculum for rural actors, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to develop more sustainable and inclusive rural tourism by providing relevant expertise on data-driven approaches to rural stakeholders. Additionally, it will foster connections and trust among diverse actors, both locally and across the EU, expanding the reach and impact of data-driven solutions for sustainable rural tourism.
▶Activities
Data4Rural will investigate the state of the art to define the best methodology to map sustainable rural tourism data. Besides and aligned with that a tailored training methodology to increase rural actors’ capacities on data and digital tech will be defined. Trainers will be trained, and the methodology will be tested with final beneficiaries for validation. Thanks to all the inputs collected an Open Platform for data in rural sustainable tourism will be projected and launched online.
▶Impact
Data4Rural will develop and test an innovative rural tailored training program to address the lack of data education of all the rural tourism actors, allowing them to take full advantage of data and digital tech when planning and implementing sustainable rural tourism. Data4Rural will also enable the creation of an Open Platform for a cross-border collection of data to foster collaboration among the rural actors and contribute to building a European data system for sustainable rural development.
