▶Objectives
RELEASE wants to use the specific training tool of the theatre/performative art workshop to create more inclusive environments and opportunities for social reintegration of inmates hosted in the Penitentiaries “Barcaglione” in Italy and “Krzywaniec” in Poland. RELEASE wants to build new capacity for partners organisations and foster their cooperation by exchanging practices and learning among each other to foster their synergies and network.
▶Activities
Project partners will explore and share good practices on the already existing cooperation synergies between cultural/artistic organisations and prisons In Poland and in Italy. Then, according to the main lessons learnt, they will implement local paths of performing art workshops with inmates to transfer innovative working methodologies learned by peers. Finally, main training outcomes will be showed to local communities during the RELEASE travelling festival for the performing art in prisons.
▶Impact
The main result is in the very involvement of the Italian and Polish inmates’ groups into pilot paths of performing art workshops through which they will learn life skills and key competences necessary to be resilient and adaptable in resocialization perspectives. The second result is the establishment of transnational peer-learning community of adult learning practitioners using theatre as training tool to improve social inclusion of inmates.
