ECHOES aims to empower LGBTQIA+ youth (18-30) across Europe to share their stories through digital storytelling, fostering inclusion and challenging discrimination. Our project will develop a high-quality training curriculum for youth workers on ethical digital storytelling, support LGBTQIA+ youth in creating authentic narratives, and establish a youth-led digital platform to amplify marginalized voices while promoting understanding of diverse lived experiences.
▶Activities
Four phases: First, training 16 youth workers through curriculum development and a residential program in Italy. Second, supporting 48 LGBTQIA+ youth to create digital stories through community building, narrative development, production, and refinement workshops. Third, developing a youth-led digital platform through co-creation workshops, international youth exchange in Spain, and technical implementation. Finally, organizing launch events in each partner country to showcase the platform.
▶Impact
ECHOES will produce a training curriculum, 48 digital stories from diverse LGBTQIA+ youth, a Story Creation Toolkit, and a sustainable digital platform governed by a youth editorial board. Beyond these deliverables, we expect increased confidence and digital skills among participants, enhanced capacity among youth workers, stronger cross-cultural connections, and wider public awareness of LGBTQIA+ experiences. The platform will amplify marginalized voices long after the project concludes.
