▶Objectives
The objectives of theproject are to equip adults from rural Europe with digital skills for tourism promotion, foster community-based tourism initiatives, and enhance digital transformation in local economies. Through training in social media management, website development, digital mapping of heritage and digital storytelling, the project aims to create employment opportunities, strengthen cultural heritage preservation, and engage local communities in sustainable tourism development.
▶Activities
The project will enhance digital skills in rural areas through training in digital tourism tools. It starts with a territorial analysis and stakeholder engagement, followed by mutual learning workshops. A 30-hour training program will equip 60 participants to develop community-based tourism initiatives. The project also includes exchange trips among 4 countries to learn from national contexts. Public events and digital campaigns will ensure long-term impact and integration in local strategies.
▶Impact
The project will empower 60 adults from rural areas with digital skills, enabling them to promote local tourism. It will produce a tailored training curriculum, 4 tourism destination websites, and at least 2 new community-based tourism initiatives per region. The project will foster stronger stakeholder collaboration, increase digital inclusion, and enhance rural tourism visibility. Finally, it will support policy integration, ensuring long-term sustainability and local economic growth.
