โ–ถObjectives

SEA-ME aims to address the challenges facing fishing communities by co-creating opportunities for training, exchange and valorisation. It will provide tools to fishermen and crafts women in fishing communities to feel empowered to develop the image they want themselves and their communities to have. Through small-scale innovation using digital tools, this project will actively increase their potential to become agents of change for the whole community.

โ–ถActivities

SEA-ME will conduct the following activities: - Develop a training model for innovation in valorisation and empowerment through digital media - Innovation workshops to provide opportunities for learning, exchanging and valorisation of products - Produce an (e)Book with short stories related to fishing knowledge, skills and sea culture - Descriptions of fishing activities / crafts and (new) ways to depict fishing communities

โ–ถImpact

The project is designed to contribute to a wider change in the way fishermen and crafts women related to fishery are seen in society. These individuals will be empowered to use digital tools to make them heard, visible and valorised. Training them to consider innovation through digital means will also contribute to the digital literacy of this less integrated group. The tools can easily be replicated in different European contexts.
