The project promotes the use of the Speaking Minds (SpM) participation methodology, pioneered by Save the Children, through three goals: training more youth workers in the methodology; empowering them to connect young people with local policymakers; ensuring youth workers apply high-quality standards when facilitating youth participation. The final result is to increase the quality and reach of youth participation activities facilitated by youth workers in the Netherlands, Romania and Lithuania.

Partners create a train-the-trainer programme on youth participation tailored to the needs of youth workers in 3 countries. Youth workers then connect across countries to foster peer learning and sustain collaboration. Reflection, consultations and piloting ensure the project aligns with local needs. At the end, results are widely disseminated to support long-term impact. The project envisages qualitative, in-depth learning for more than 65 youth workers and the reach of many more professionals.

The project creates and disseminates a train-the-trainer programme on SpM. Youth workers gain new skills and tools to engage youth in local policymaking through a pilot of the programme. Youth workers in 3 countries also learn about their differing positions in promoting youth participation and are offered mutual learning paths. These results enable youth workers to become lasting advocates of meaningful, ethical and impactful youth participation, strengthening their professional role.
