The project aims to establish digital fabrication (DF) technologies in mathematics teacher education programs to enable teacher students to make manipulatives that enhance mathematics teaching and learning. By training future teachers in DF, the project seeks to reimagine mathematical teaching, deepen understanding of mathematical content and pedagogy, and revive practical teaching with manipulatives in mathematics education, addressing the decline in mathematical competence in Europe.

The project involves 4 key activities: - developing teaching & coaching materials to support the application of DF for making manipulatives - creating innovative manipulatives to inspire, demonstrate, and scaffold the use of DF for making manipulatives. - building an online platform for disseminating project results, making them widely accessible. - organising student seminars, teacher training events, and a summer school to share best practices in the use of DF for making manipulatives

The project will have 4 main results: 1. Modular teaching and coaching materials will support teacher educators in effectively integrating DF into their teaching practices. 2.
