Objectives

The project aims to enhance civic engagement, digital literacy, and environmental awareness through geocaching. Integrating GPS navigation, cultural exploration, and outdoor learning, it fosters intergenerational collaboration and strengthens community ties. Participants will develop problem-solving skills, ecological responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for local and European heritage, ensuring lifelong learning and sustainable tourism while promoting active participation.

Activities

The project will implement international and national geocaching events, creating interactive geocaching trails linked to heritage, sustainability, and intergenerational learning. A Geocaching Resource Kit will provide structured guidelines for educators and facilitators. Activities will include training workshops, hands-on outdoor challenges, digital mapping sessions, and an online Sustainable Geocaching Pledge Cycle to ensure long-term engagement.

Impact

The project expects to increase digital literacy, civic engagement, and environmental awareness among participants. It will create 15 new geocaching sites, host 3 international and 6 national geocaching events, and develop a Geocaching Resource Kit for continued educational use. At least 50 participants will commit to the Sustainable Geocaching Pledge Cycle, ensuring long-term impact. A dedicated website and online community will facilitate knowledge-sharing, cultural exchange, and accessibility
