Objectives

The main objective of AGRILEARN is to develop a 3D Virtual World Learning Environment using the potential of a gamification-based approach in which school students will engage in activities that will enhance their levels of agriculture and sustainability knowledge. Environmental education for sustainable futures could increasingly engage students in public life and participation, equipping them with the necessary skills for a sustainable future.

Activities

The main activities that we are going to implement are: 1) Needs Survey (WP 2.1) 2) Result Analysis (WP 2.2) 3) Use Case Development (WP 2.3) 4) Educational Material Selection (WP 2.4) 5) Development of the Virtual (Alpha – WP 3.1, Beta – WP 3.2, Final WP 3.3) 6) System Documentation (WP 3.4) 7) Piloting and regional results (WP 4.1-4.3) 8) Documentation of piloting results (WP 4.4) 9) Multiplier events and report (WP 4.5 – 4.7) All of these activities will be documented to create a blueprint.

Impact

The main results that we aim to have been: 1) A structured survey procedure and its analysis 2) Tailored Use Cases and Educational Material 3) A final and tested VWLE that will engage students into the learning process 4) Documentation of the Virtual World to ensure its sustainability and expandability upon project lifetime 5) Documentation of the piloting process and results 6) Multiplier Events reports where we will document the complete process from the organisation to the results of each ME
