▶Objectives
The main goal of the VIRTUE project is to strengthen the capacity of a group of 30 volunteers from Romania, Hungary, and Turkey to actively participate in emergency response volunteering. The project aims to develop an innovative training program that combines technical training (first aid, search and rescue, water rescue) with the development of inclusive communication skills and effective collaboration.
▶Activities
Development of the training program – Designing a structured training program with three modules: first aid and emergency response, search and rescue with trained dogs, water rescue and emotional management in crisis situations. Pilot testing of the training program – Organizing national workshops and international training exercises to test and adjust the program. ▶Impact
30 trained volunteers, including at least 20 from rural areas, capable of responding effectively in emergency situations. 1 structured training program with 3 modules, translated into Romanian, Hungarian, and Turkish. 3 international joint training sessions, fostering transnational cooperation between volunteers. At least 85% of participants become active members of a local volunteer emergency service (SVSU). At least 70% of participants demonstrate refugee support skills in practical simulation
