Objectives

The project aims to tackle food waste by promoting awareness and fostering sustainable consumption habits. Through workshops and educational activities, we aim to encourage behavioral changes, improve environmental responsibility, and enhance green skills. The project also promotes interest in STEM, particularly among girls, while fostering European identity and citizenship, contributing to a more sustainable future and empowered community.

Activities

The project will include workshops on food waste, practical cooking courses, and community visits to local farmers and markets. Educational resources such as videos, posters, and a cookbook will be created. Compost gardens will demonstrate sustainable practices. Social media campaigns and animal shelter visits will further engage the community in practical, environmentally responsible actions to reduce food waste.

Impact

We expect to raise significant awareness of food waste and inspire positive behavioral changes toward sustainability. Participants will develop green skills, improve communication, and gain practical knowledge of food management. Students, especially girls, will also be encouraged to pursue STEM fields. The project’s resources will be widely shared to ensure long-term environmental impact, benefiting not only schools but also the wider community through ongoing education.
