▶Objectives
The general objective of the present proposal is to support Craftspersons to develop new Skills and Competences that would allow them to properly use the opportunities offered by the implementation of the Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 on Geographical indications (GIs). A target group of Artisans working on “The Sibiu traditional blouse” (“Ia de Sibiu”) will be set up for the duration of the project, in order to help setting up a dedicated GI Scheme for this cultural item.

The project includes the following activities: A1. Project Coordination and Management A2. Assessment of the implementation path foreseen by the GI Regulation A3. Pilot Project: Sibiu, "The Traditional Blouse" ("Ia de Sibiu - Mărginime") A4. Business skills related to the valorization of the Geographical Indication A5 Communication and Dissemination
▶Impact
R1: A “GI Toolkit” for Craftspersons, with the main information about the new EU Regulation, useful links for the implementation, examples of best practices from countries that have a national GI System for Crafts prior to the European system and a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section.
