By implementing this project, we aim to enhance professionals' skills in sensory integration, improve therapeutic interventions for children with autism, and support their inclusion. The project will facilitate understanding and application of effective sensory strategies, contributing to the progress and development of children in key life areas.
▶Activities
We will implement three professional training sessions for specialists in the field of autism, focused on sensory integration, combining theoretical information and practical demonstrations. The training will be delivered by experts with extensive experience working with children with autism. During the project's closing conference, we will also present the mini-manual created, which will serve as a reference material for professionals in the field.
▶Impact
The project will enhance specialists' skills in identifying and addressing the sensory needs of children with autism. A key outcome will be a practical mini-manual designed for both specialists and families, providing applied guidelines for sensory integration and being disseminated within the community. Specialists will be able to implement effective methods to improve sensory processing, ensuring a more personalized and efficient therapy.
