Objectives

The project aims to research, develop and test content creation strategies for Gen Alpha and Gen Z, in order to remain relevant to the younger generations and offer them high-quality youth-led journalism which prepares them for being active citizens. In addition, our objective is to build an international community of practice which puts technological evolution and content creation at the service of youth journalism, and civic education and engagement.

Activities

We will achieve our objectives by conducting research, developing and delivering training regarding the use of humor and graphic journalism in social media content production for Gen Z and Gen Alpha, creating and publishing disruptive cross-border journalistic content about European youth, and organizing CivicON, a festival dedicated to journalism, engaged arts, democracy and youth.

Impact

We will engage at least 100 young people in educational activities about how to produce journalistic content for Gen Alpha and Gen Z and how to be an engaged citizen. We will reach at least 4 million users monthly on social media platforms with the content created by young people for young people, and develop an international community of practice composed of young content creators and diverse experts who will multiply our impact and stimulate further civic engagement.
