FLOWGEN will achieve the following objectives: Equip youth with blue entrepreneurial and leadership skills to address water-related challenges. Strengthen the capacity of youth workers to support youth in blue entrepreneurship and water justice advocacy. Support youth-led action on sustainable water management, marine conservation, and water justice Increase awareness among participants and the wider community about the advantages of the blue economy and the European Green Deal
▶Activities
FLOWGEN engages youth and youth workers to identify barriers in the blue economy and co-design a MOOC to fill educational gaps. It enhances partner, youth and educator capacity in blue entrepreneurship and advocacy, improving quality and innovation of youth work across the EU. Youth implement community interventions tackling local water challenges, and a mobility in Hungary fosters youth-led advocacy campaigns, promoting the European Green Deal’s benefits for water-dependent regions
▶Impact
16 partner staff strengthen their expertise in delivering blue entrepreneurship and advocacy education, fostering institutional capacity for sustainability training. 140 youth workers are trained in our blue economy framework, increasing the innovation of youth work across Europe. 200 youth are trained to produce 4 sustainability projects, driving local solutions and behavioral change. The youth lead an online campaign promoting the benefits of the blue economy amongst 1 million coastal citizens
