Internationalization of the Sport Volunteers Movement SCULT.com

The purpose of the InSCULT Collaborative Partnership was to internationalise the innovative model of the sport volunteers movement SCULT.com for mobilising volunteers in the sport sector within Europe and beyond. The core mission of the World Sport Volunteers Movement SCULT is to empower society by connecting sport events and volunteers, locally and internationally. SCULT also inspires stakeholders by providing a networking platform for knowledge sharing.During the project, SCULT.com international technological platform (the portal) was localized to project countries and implemented on international scale, volunteers signup/login module was designed and programmed, volunteers registration system to sport event was developed (back- and frontend design and programming, system database setup, hosting, version management, backup) to provide professional volunteers recruitment and management service to sport event organizers.Over the project period, the SCULT.com portal has had as much as 675 sport events looking for volunteers in Europe and beyond uploaded and promoted. The portal has currently 24 different country sections + international events section: Estonia, Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Ukraine Czech Republic, Bulgaria.Different promotion and marketing materials were designed and produced during the project to promote the SCULT movement, to participate with volunteers in different sport events in five project countries, to carry out creative campaigns, and to arrange knowledge sharing and inspiration events like SCULT Fest & Awards 2017 and 2018, see: https://bit.ly/2I87c9g.Team SCULT participated, physically promoted the movement and the Erasmus+ project, and/or provided volunteers recruitment and management assistance (over 3000 volunteers were recruited) to 23 international events, including: DGI Sport & Culture Festival 2017; Colour Run Brussels 2017; Danske Bank Vilnius Marathon 2017; Opening of the European Sport Week 2017 & Children Bike Race Tartu; Tartu Mountain Bike Marathon 2017; Belfius Brussels Marathon 2017; Helsinki Christmas Run 2017; Helsinki Half Marathon 2018; Brussels Airport Marathon & Half Marathon 2018; Guinness World Record Run 100 x 10,000m 2018; Kiviõli Motocross Festival & Sidecar Cross World GP 2018; IRONMAN Tallinn 2018; Wings For Life World Run 2018; Tartu Night Run and City Marathon 2018; Sport Volunteering Seminar in Lahti 2018; Lithuanian Sport Conference 2018; Aarhus Volunteers Festival 2018; Jukolan Viesti 2018; Lahti Marathon Weekend 2018; Lahti Science Day 2018; Tallsinki - Monte Carlo Electric Car Marathon 2018; FIS Nordic Combined World Cup Otepää; FIS Cross-Country World Cup Otepää.Sport volunteers international e-mail list was developed and newsletter format designed; social media channels were set up and different creative campaigns and actions carried out. As a result of physical and online campaigns, sport volunteers' stories production and sharing, videos and other communication initiatives, the community of the SCULT movement (e-mail lists, web signups, social media, partnerships etc.) is ca 28 000 sport volunteers. Indirectly, the community of people who are aware of the SCULT movement is much bigger.Two international Sport Friends and Volunteers Inspiration Days called SCULT Fest were organised in 2017 & 2018. In parallel, SCULT Awards galas were organised to celebrate the best sport volunteers and sport event organisers globally.
