Benfica & Dinamo football champions learn Polish players

In 2017 year we made the next step in the development of football in Poland. Within ERASMUS + Sport, together with two great organizations - SL Benfica represented in the project by Benfica Foundation and GNK Dinamo Zagreb, our association "Centrum Odkrywania Młodych Talentów 2012" [Center for Discovering of Young Talents 2012] supported directly over 60 children with their coaches in training and sports trips to Portugal and Croatia where they could meet, train and play friendly matches against dozens of players from Portugal and Croatia. In addition, using the ERASMUS + Sport programme funds, as part of our project, we hosted 12 Portuguese and 20 Croats at an indoor football tournament in Bolesławiec. More than 200 players and coaches attended the tournament and the conference. In total, more than 300 people from several countries were involved in the project activities in different ways.On April 4-18th 18 people (15 players + 3 tutors) traveled to Portugal to take part in activities organised by SL Benfica at its Academy, as well as to play against many great teams at the international tournament IberCup. The trip included training sessions at SL Benfica's premises, meetings with peers, friendly matches, theoretical lectures, visits to Benfica's 1st team league and cup matches, tour of the Estádio da Luz and the Museum of Benfica.On October 20-29th 22 people (19 players + 3 tutors) traveled to GNK Dinamo Zagreb, in Croatia, to take part in activities organised by the Croatians at their Academy, as well as to play a friendly match against GNK Dinamo. The trip included training sessions at GNK Dinamo's premises, meetings with peers, friendly matches, theoretical lectures, visit to GNK Dinamo vs. HNK Rijeka match. On our way to Croatia we stopped in Slovakia where we visited MŠK Žilina club and played a sparring match. On the following day we stopped in Vienna to see a derby match Austria vs. Rapid Vienna.On December 11-16th 24 people (20 players + 4 tutors) traveled to Portugal to take part in activities organised by SL Benfica at its Academy and at Estádio da Luz. The trip included training sessions at SL Benfica's premises, meetings with peers, friendly matches, theoretical lectures, a visit to Sporting Lisbon cup match, as well as a sparring match against Belenenses Lisbon. The trip also included a tour of the Estádio da Luz and Museum of Benfica as well as sightseeing the tourist spots of Lisbon and Cabo da Roca.On May 24-26th the coaches of SL Benfica and GNK Dinamo Zagreb came to Bolesławiec to see the training sessions and skills of the players of Eskadra and Centrum Odkrywania Młodych Talentów [Center for Discovering of Young Talents 2012]. They also attended a lecture for more than 100 Polish coaches from all over the country.On November 24-26th there was held an international football tournament in Bolesławiec where we hosted our guests from Portugal (12) and Croatia (20). The best Polish football teams, as well as the Slovakian MŠK Žilina played in the tournament. 16 teams and nearly 200 athletes along with coaches and staff took part in the tournament. The Croats took the 2nd, and the Portuguese the 4th place in the tournament. The Poles took the 9th place.On December 27-29, 2017, on the series of football tournaments and the meeting of trainers, we summarize the project. All participants in the project receive diplomas / certificates of participation.
