Summary

Even if the most important activity of the project was the children inclusion in padel and in sport in general, its implementation was much more of this. The project created all the basis for a European network that seems to be able to be reinforced in the future: the participating Clubs collaborated and exchanged in a mature and professional way. The project set up a technical working group whose participants (the Club coaches) share and exchange experiences and knowledge. This was possible thanks to the “differentiated” competences and background within partnership. In particular, the Spanish Partner spontaneously assumed a technical leadership as its coaches have long experience and have a propensity to systematise experiences and results. The other Clubs exploited this opportunity to grow and to learn from the high skills made available by the Spanish Club and by partnership in general. The project identified and implemented a common method to deliver padel basis among children and to measure capacities achieved. One of the most important "non-expected" result is the opportunity allowed by the project to the coaches to learn one from each other and to exchange experiences and knowledge with a view to improving quality and upholding standards. Thanks to these exchanges among coaches and managers, the participating Clubs elaborated two technical outputs: 1. an initial-level 20-lesson padel teaching guidelines that contains details of each class to be delivered in a first year padel course (8/9-month training). The Guidelines includes all the necessary explanations on how to teach each exercise. This document includes the photos taken during the training sessions in each Club. 2. A set of indicators aim at measuring skills achieved by children. Both documents are available in the Results platform of the project. Both outputs were tested in the project contexts and represent the result of a common and joint work among coaches.Additionally, a sort of “Padel Library” was built with the documents and experiences collected by Partners under the Working Groups planning.Thank to this project, the Clubs have activated a campaign to get children closer to sport. Many activities have been organised: “padel and school”, campus, tournaments, etc. Many volunteers were involved in the organisation / implementation of these actions.Last but not least, the project has allowed a group of children to travel abroad to meet children from other countries. This is considered a great opportunity for the children as they usually don’t have possibilities to do so. The project main results can be synthesized as follows: i. increased children participation in sport / padel; ii. improved and increased quality of teaching techniques; iii. developed monitoring and evaluation systems; iv. fostered the role of padel in the sportive world.
