START - Sport TrAining to Run Together

START - Sport TrAining to Run Together was a Small Collaborative Partnership that lasted 24 months (1/01/2018-31/12/2019).The main aim of START Project was to develop and share within the partnership the use of the language and methodology of Sport as a tool to promote integration, socio - cultural inclusion and equal opportunities. For this reason START promoted:-the activity of mobility in Sofia-BG (Transnational Training, 23-27/04/2018 WP2) for 5 operators, 1/2 trainers and 3 more people (coach, project manager, sport expert, trainer, social educator, manager/staff member, public officer) sent by Partners involved and the organization of 10 Local Training Days in the countries of the partnership (WP3 - TDays) for 113 local coaches, teachers, animators in the field of sport, managers and staff of non-profit org., young people. Thanks to the training activities all participants acquired and shared specific skills about the use of the language and methodologies of Sports as a vehicle for social inclusion of vulnerable groups, respect for others and integration of vulnerable groups at risk of exclusion and marginalization. -the organization of 9 START Sport Days in the countries of the partnership (WP4-5), aimed to encourage the participation in grossroots sport and physical activity of the local people (about 900 people), in particular immigrants, women, adolescents, children, disabled people, seniors, NEET, who have more difficulties to practise sport for presence of prejudice or language, social, cultural barriers, economic difficulties. These events permitted to local people to live sporting events together other people developing a group/community grow path with the values of tolerance, respect, teamwork.The partnership created 3 tangible outputs: the Handbook “START Project Transnational Training” that describes and tells the experience, methods, activities of transnational training, 5 national videos and 1 long video that tell the local activities carried out during START Project. All outputs were published in the website and social channels dedicated to START project, socials and web site of the partners, and presented during the 5 dissemination events organized (1 in each country) for 134 people to present the project, tell the experience realized and illustrate the outputs to local communities. The activities carried out, involved the following target groups: -Coaches, trainers, teachers, animators/volunteers, managers and staff members, young people, who work or collaborate with the partner or that work in other org. or simply interested to increase their skills and abilities in the focus theme of START; -Local People (adolescents, young people and adults) who participated to the START Sports Days, in particular Women, Adolescents, Immigrants, NEET, Minors.START indirectly involved: -Local population and public that participated in the dissemination events; -Other local org. schools, sports clubs, associations, Public administrations, stakeholders, that participated in the activities planned (TDays, START Sport Days, Dissemination Events, Communication campaign) or interested to use the outputs created and presented at the diss. events, in order to replicate the experience of START Project.The objectives reached were to:-Promote the networking among Partners, sharing best practices-Promote an innovative approach (non formal methods) in the sports sector, to strengthen the specialization of coaches, trainers, managers/staff of non-profit org., in the management of vulnerable groups-Transfer to the participants skills - abilities necessary to use sport as educative tool, to promote and strengthen: 1)the socio-cultural inclusion of immigrants, adolescents, young people and adults; 2)participation in sporting activities of NEET young people and adolescents; 3)equal opportunities between men and women in sport-Strengthen the participation in local sports activities of the primary target
