Summary

The main aim of the project was to empower women in management positions in sport organizations by adopting women hands-on sport management course to show women how strategically use their strengths and abilities while mastering their competitive mindset, as well as become more confident in a competitive, male-dominated industry. Likewise, to set a networking platform of women leaders in sport which would work on voluntary basis to support and counsel their young women peers.In the beginning of the project a context analysis was executed by all partner countries. Potential trainees and the main stakeholder such as local/regional sport governing bodies and some sport clubs was included in the process in order to get better understanding the objectives of the project. Context analysis was conducted according prepared guidelines and template by project coordinator. In total 3 context analyses were prepared (Lithuanian, Latvian and Italian) and presented in the kick-of project meeting in Rome, on 15/16 of March 2018.Future, all consortium worked on the adaptation of the training course which were adopted from already existing sport administration program, and shifted for women hands-on management training. Due to interactive aspect of the training course it was adaptable to different interests of participants and was easily tailored to their needs. In the training material was used only a minimum of theoretical background and the main focus were on practical assignments, case studies and best practice examples. Target group of the national training sessions were women middle managers representing the sport organizations, sport federations, sport clubs, volunteers and decision makers in the field of sport. The content of the national training sessions was presented during the second meeting in Riga (1st of Augusts 2018). What is more, was invited two (2) speakers from each partner country (Italy and Lithuania) to share relevant to the topic challenges and raise awareness of good practices in addition success stories. Also, during this meeting Latvian partners presented the concept of the women networking initiative, was decided to use social network Facebook platform for that.After, this meeting two days national training (NT)session in all three countries were produced. The times for the national training sessions were selected differently in each partner country. CONI NT session did on 22nd-23rd of September, participated 16 attendees. LSFC NT session did on 23rd – 24th of August, participated 31 attendees. LUSF NT session did on 27th – 28th of September, participated 16 attendees. The aim was to have at least 15 attendees per partner country in the NT sessions (in total minim 45 women), consequently, the goal was achieved in total 63 women participated in MIRACLE national training sessions across 3 countries. Finally, on the 15th -16th of November 2018, final international promotional congress was held in Vilnius. The main aim of the final international promotional congress was to present challenges, gaps, opportunities and forward-looking strategies for the advancement and empowerment of women in sport industry, as well as draw attention of different stake holders and public that concerns women empowerment and other topics presented in the project proposal. As well, participants of the congress had a great networking opportunity among their peers and mentors.Also, keynote speaker Gabriella Muller, was invite to provide insight and intelligence from women in top leadership position to younger women peers, train and enhance the competences of women and girls in the areas of leadership and middle-management, promote gender equality and support women participation in decision making in sport industry within the sport industry.
