โ–ถSummary

The Promoting Active Engagement in Sports (PACES) project's goal was to contribute in promoting physical activity to different social groups with a particular focus on older adults 55+. Partners in the project were focused on introducing the traditional karate as a method of exercise that contains positive health effects to older adults 55+. Karate as a sport can be safely enjoyed by people of all ages as it enables development of transversal skills including patience, balance, coordination, strength, mobility, self-esteem, body protection, and ensures overall physical development. The project partnership consisted of five karate federations and one karate club. They are all thematically related and represent a great number of constituents in their respective countries.
