Summary

Background Match point general objective is to combat doping in recreational environment through setting up a transnational network of main sport bodies, a large European sport association and science institutions to elaborate and conceive engaging, deterring and detecting educational programs and open resource online courses leading to the non-obligatory enforcing of new Code for behavior in tennis and grassroot sports. Objectives Identify, describe and analyse the EU young non-professional tennis players’ and coaches’ attitudes towards using of doping and forbidden substances in recreational tennis; Contribute for live education of the main project target groups in available anti-doping courses and programs, Demonstrate the sport digital technology methods to the project targets in fixing suspicious sport performance of athletes in recreational sports; Launch an innovative SMART online platform in the anti-doping theme; Implementation The project experts made a survey on legislation of anti-doping and knowledge for doping among tennis recreation players, coaches and sports specialists. Based on the survey results and conclusions and on the target groups needs an anti-doping educational program, two online course modules as an open educational resources and an ethical code were created, develop and disseminate through education courses and smart project platform. Achievements 1. Match Point Survey on best practices and the EU Member States’ effective systems and legislative base for anti-doping of athletes2. Match point live anti-doping educational program which consist of 40 educational hours delivered to 15 athletes and 5 coaches in each national tennis federation in Bulgaria, Romania and Poland part of the project3. Two online educational courses in “Doping and Performance” and “Doping and Performance in Tennis"4. Smart project platform5. Ethical code
