Summary

GoalsThe aim of the Block Out Dropout project was to encourage social inclusion and define different methods and develop tools in order to prevent the Dropout phenomenon. The main goals were improved children’s and young people physical activity and benchmark project partners strengths. Young people s well-being was promoted by the project many sidedly by paying attention to the following various aspects: physical, mental and social well-being.ImplementationDuring the project was held three study visits in Székesfehérvár (Hungary), Kemi (Finland) and Gargźdai (Lithuania). The main tools which were shared were mental training at sport club and school, personal training at school and sport clubs co-operation with school. Also new mobile phone sport applications and functional teaching method were presented. ResultsFirst of all our cooperation has been completed successfully, we could make our international relations deeper. We could get to know new methods and practices what we could adopt to our didactic tool set. We could have a look at each other´s educational system and we could be richer with new experiences. With these newly experienced methods we became much more open-minded and innovative. Taking home new knowledge we could share it with our whole teachers´ staff. During the common work we had a more accurate picture about kids threatened by blockout-dropout phenomenon and this way we get closer the problem solving.RecommendationsThe done activities in the project let us give some recommendations. First of all, the partners of the project should have face to face meetings to plan the project and co-operation. It is better when people know each other well before the project starts. Secondly, there should be more practical activities to learn the thinking and acting together which leads to strengthen the interpersonal relationships.Thirdly, it is also very important to build up good relationship with media. Fourthly, it would be a good way to involve "a higher level" person from the municipality, school or participating organisation into the project team to have a wider sharing experience, support to do activities and be rewarded. As mentioned above we got closer to the problem solving but it is still necessary to continue the work together. During the meetings it became clear that the problem is very complicated and that´s why we think we need more time to be able to examine this problem from other points of view. The participant organisations agreed they tend to continue the common work in this field.
