▶Summary
The project preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination was organized in 3 stages and 4 work packages (WP), as follows:First stage: WP1 (Transnational meeting (TM) 1 and 5) WP1 was managed by the Project team (PT). On March 27, 2019 the applicant organization hosted a kick-off meeting with the PT to organize and plan all management and implementation activities. An internal partnership agreement was signed between all the partners.Second Stage: WP2 and WP3 "Develop and reinforce transnational partner networks ensuring coherence and coordination of the main project objectives". WP2 corresponds to TM2 and TM3Activity 1: Research of educational and training modules/tools and programs (TM2, held in Prague, April 12-14, 2019):Theoretical part: review of the existing monitoring systems and type of specific programs used by each partner; research of EU, national and international policies in the field of sport activities and physical adopted programs/ practices, trainings, methods for children with disabilities; national and regional legal framework in all partner countries – as a transnational case studies. Practical part: exchange of good practices through visits in Special Olympics bases. An internal communication channel was used in most of the time of the implementation of the theoretical part. Activity 2: Research of educational and training modules/tools and programs in the field of sport through horses (TM 3, held in Boston, UK on May 22, 2019): The UK partner introduced a new educational and training learning - “Equine Assisted Learning” (EAL), based on communication with horses. Theoretical part: presentations of Inspired Equine Assisted Learning CIC (IdEAL CIC) work and the benefits of therapeutic horsemanship and the EAL. Practical sessions with autistic adults and children with Down Syndrome plus a Handy Horsemanship session.WP 3 Design, test and dissemination of a new program for children and adults with disabilities.Theoretical part: The PT designed the program, integrating the results from the previous WPs.Practical part: (TM4, held in Korelko Camp - Athens, Greece in the period August 18-28,2019). The project partners took part in demonstration of sport activities for 25 children with disabilities and tested the new practices of the program, developed within the framework of the project. During the 10-day stay at the camp in Greece, special tests of the participants were made, in order to assess the results achieved and the effectiveness of the program developed under the project. The result of WP3 was the elaboration of specific program in accordance with real sport, health and social needs of children with disabilities.TM5 -Project consortium’s meeting and final conference falls under WP1.TM5 was held in Sofia, Bulgaria on September 23 and 24, 2019 with the participation of the PT. The meeting was focused on validation of the achieved project results and conclusions. PT discussed all details about the finalization and publication of the final project result “Programs for Physical Adaptation through non-traditional physical forms for skills development for children with disabilities”. The program was published at the end of October 2019.Third Stage: WP 4 - Awareness-raising campaign All project awareness - raising activities are realized in the social networks. Awareness - raising activities consist of press releases, a project brochure, news articles in which the project has been mentioned. There is also a publication in the 6th Bienalle International Scientific Conference edition Wellnes Health and Quality of Life, Prague 07.11.2019.A project website was elaborated by the applicant organization and will continue to operate.
