The main goal of the project "BIKE - Biking Innovation and Knowledge for Everyone" is to support the mobility of volunteers, coaches, managers and competitors from cycling sports clubs within the EU. Within the cross-border meetings, besides on the main goal, attention was focused on achieving the additional sub-objectives:- Improving good management in cycling sport;- Promoting cycling among adolescents and youth - to overcome aggression, racial discrimination and intolerance in sport;- Supporting children from social and marginal groups for practicing cycling;- Promoting women's cycling to overcome gender discrimination and to get equal opportunities in cycling;- Encourage participation in sports events, competitions and biking in nature;- Encourage an ethical approach in cycling and the fair-play;- Creating successful athletes - champions from all ages and disciplines in cycling - sports for all;Target groups in the project are:- Coaches and managers in cycling sports clubs- Volunteers and pedagogues responsible for youth policies in cycling sports- Representatives of sports clubs, as a bridge between coaches and athletesThe results we achieved with the project activities include: -Collecting best practices and successful coaching techniques;- Implementing a new type of entrepreneurial management in cycling;- Encouraging social inclusion and preventing discrimination- Implementing a new mechanisms to attract volunteers;- Collecting best practices and successful techniques in promoting cycling sports toencourage physical activity by using sport as a means of healthy living- Encouraging all types and forms of cycling from amateur, sporting and racing, to professional and championship cycling.The impact of the project results not only inform about better management specifically for cycling as a sport, exchanged management approaches and strategies to attract and retain volunteer work but also promote cycling, especially among adolescents, as an opportunity for a healthy sport, raising it as the leading corrective for the fight against stagnant lifestyles and self-isolation, for better behavior and respect for others, for road safety and for a greener environment, continuing and building on the initiatives that have been taken, turning them into policies for international development.
