Background The KidMove project cooperated internationally and brought together an exceptional combination of multi-field expertise from actors from sports clubs, sports organizations and higher education institutions. The actors from grassroots sporting activities had experience of young athlete-centered coaching practices, social inclusion, and safe coaching. Their holistic practices differed from the mainstream coaching practices; the drop out numbers of young athletes are lower than normal. Objectives KidMove project co-created, put into practice and disseminated free and easily accessible, athlete-centered coaching practices for the grassroots sports coaches of young athletes, including volunteer coaches. The practices were based on the good coaching practices of the partners in KidMove project. Aim was to reduce the drop out of the 11-15 years-old young athletes from sporting activities, enhance social inclusion, equal opportunities and protection from sport-related injuries. Implementation WP1: Project coordination (no IOs), WP2: athlete-centered coaching practices; easy tools & good practices of joy, motivation & empowerment of young athletes and safe sports - videos, blogs, articles (co-creation, co-writing, combining practical - pedagogical - theoretical knowledge), WP3: dissemination & networking - events, microbook, video, articles, presentations, material, webpage, social media, translations (co-creation, co-writing, combining practical - pedagogical - theoretical knowledge) Achievements 105 blogs, 15 videos and 14 national articles of good coaching practices, 1 presentation video, YouTube channel, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram accounts, KidMove webpage, microbook, 31 presentations, 16 presentations of project in other events, roll up, poster, infographics of good practices, 5 international articles, multiplier sport events in 5 countries, dissemination and networking
