Background The topic of this project is to combat violence and tackle racism, discrimination and intolerance in sports and around (e.g. at sporting events).The project aims to identify, develop and compile sports-related best practices which optimally contribute to the dissemination of messages of respect, the fight against discrimination and racism and the prevention of all forms of violence in sports. Objectives The overall objective is contribution to decrease violence, racism and discrimination in sport through the implementation of new sports-related best practices dedicated to PE teachers (physical education teachers) and elementary school pupils. Specific objectives: Development and implementation of measures to tackle violence and racism in sport through eduactional methods across Europe; Strengthening of the capacity (skills and competencies) of PE teachers for combating violence and tackle Implementation Project was implemented in 7 countiries: Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia. (4 EU,a and 4 non-EU member states) We have organized 5 Transnational project meetings and 9 Multiplier sport events. More than 5000 elementary school children, 100 PE teachers, 70 elementary schools and 1000 parents and family members participated in project activities. Achievements Through the project we have developed: Project Management Handbook ; Communication and dissemination plan; Best Practices Research report (IO1) ; Pilot Sport Games Training Module (IO2) for elementary school children and PE teachers; Compendium of Infographics (IO3) and Guidelines for future activities to promote combat against violence, racism, discrimination and intolerance in sport (IO4).
