My Olympic Experience

This project aimed to encourage and support the organisation, development and coordination of sport and sports competitions for all involving multisport clubs’ athletes and coaches. During the project, different actions took place. At the beginning, Olympiacos organized a kick-off meeting with the presence of the other two clubs’ representatives discussing the project implementation, the focus and the range of the activities. Moreover, the clubs cooperated in the training of coaches exchanging ideas via emails and skype meetings under the guidance of a Greek coaching and consulting company. Regarding the activities, Olympiacos organized a tennis event for the young citizens so as to promote a very popular Olympic sport to the local society and the Olympic spirit generally. Also the Greek club organized the conference "Sports For All'' so as to spread the project message about the importance of physical activity and the Olympic values. “LEVSKI – Sport for all” – organized seminar about multisport education, multisport events for students from Sofia’s schools and meeting with double Olympic Champion Maria Grozdeva and her coach Valery Grigorov. As far as Lazio Scacchi is concerned,The project was developed in different aspects: seminar, chess events, participation to the European Sport Week and through the introduction of chess lessons in schools. Apart from the trainers, popular clubs' athletes participated in the events being ambassadors of the initiatives. Apart from those activities, the clubs organized a fruitful intermediate meeting in Rome undertaking the travel costs so as to discuss the project progress. Also, at the end of the project, they discussed about the whole implementation and the project results in the final meeting held in Belgrade. Furthermore, the partners ran communication and dissemination activities for the best promotion of the project activities and messages.
