Active and Healthy Olympic Seniors
▶Summary
Following the strategic plan, partners decided to start project on 1.1.2019 and finish it on 31.12.2020. Due to an unexpected global pandemic, we submitted an application to extend the implementation project until 31.12.2021. The partners decided to lead the project and project activities in 5 main Working Packages:-WP 1Project management-WP2 Dissemination and information -WP3 Preparation of the database on retired elite athletes physical activity -WP4 Preparation of a training model for the elderly on the basis of the empirical research of the involvement in regular physical activity of former elite athletes-WP5 Publishing the manual for physical activity of retired athletes WP1 Project management:-Project team: consist of representatives of all partners, who are experts on project management, experts on topics related to physical activity, psychology, and adaptation of sport and physical activity to seniors, Paralympian-Project meetings: during project implementation, we performed all three planned partners meetings (Celje, Poland and North Macedonia) with participation of partners from Slovenia, North Macedonia, Poland-Exchange of best practice: all partners exchanged their experiences and best practices related to the aims of project (physical activity, adaptation of physical activity for individual or group) -Quality of the project outcomes, impact and measurement of the outcomes: the important part of the project management was constant tracking of the project status, achievements, financial and administrative reports, measurement of the outcomes, analyses of the feedback from participants…WP2 Dissemination and information:-Graphic design: FCBS as leading organisation prepared the graphic design of the project in which the visibility of all partners, EU support, Erasmus + program is included, templates for all partners in which all elements of the graphic design are included (ppt for workshops, word for documents, pdf for documents and publishing news in media…)- News in media, on web pages of all partners, promotion using social media: plan for promotion of the project, partners and EU support to ensure the visibility of the project, project partners and EU support, plan for promotion of the project activities to ensure predicted number of participants to database analysis and later to participate in sport programs-Promotion of the importance of physical activity among retired athletes, promotion of the manual for physical activity of retired athletesWP3 Preparation of the database on retired elite athletes physical activity:-Selection of the target group: the priority target group are retired athletes (Olympians, Paralympian, other athletes that compete on high level in individual or team sport) age 65 +.-Preparation of the questionnaire for retired athletes and active athletes on their experience with recreational sport programs-Collecting data for database analysis WP4 Preparation of a training model for the elderly on the basis of the empirical research of the involvement in regular physical activity of former elite athletes:-List with proposed actions on national level of participating countries for increasing physical activity of retired elite athletes -Preparation of the training model for elderly elite athletes WP5 Publishing the manual on physical activity for retired elite athletes:-Partners prepared an electronical version of the manual for physical activity of retired athletes-In the manual we presented importance of continuously physical activity, healthy issues that might appear as result of physical inactivity-In the manual we presented some cases of best practice on adopting sport and physical activity for individuals or groups
