The main objective of the Project was to encourage members of the communities participate in sport and physical activity by using different methods and ways:- to developed a crosssectoral approach involving sport, health, education. This project aimed to form a network supporting Traditional Baltic Sports and Games (LT, LV, PL), and to develop supportive tools. Each partner involved has relevant experience and qualifications required to promote traditional sport and awareness raising of sport activity importance for heritage, health and social inclusion. - to find new possibilities for local health, sport and education actors in order policy implementation discuss, exchange good practices, create new working methods. Project partners are leading organizations in their regions having experience in cooperation with sport, health and formal / informal education organizations. Preparation for the Sport and Games Events, also, participation in these events improved closer cross-sectoral networking and Council Recommendations implementation.- to communicate and inform communities about the importance of physical activity for adults and children, share helpful information on the possibilities to start more active practicing of physical activities for different social and age groups. The main implemented activities:- preparation of the material on the traditional sports in all partner countries - 1-2 sports or games, the rules of the game, devices and space required, tradition it represents, its origin;- 4 transnational meetings, one meeting per one partner. Each meeting was devoted for Sport and Games Event for the local community. It was aimed at physical activities accessibility for the community dissemination, also, host partner country traditional sport presentation. Sport and Games Events for the local communities organized in all three participating countries (LT, LV, PL). During them sport (sport clubs), health (social health bureaus or adequate), formal and informal education (schools and NGOs active in informal education) organizations took part to present their services and possibilities of physical activities for community members;- 5th transnational meeting took place in Lithuania. First day was devoted for big scope Sport and Games Event, with all three partner countries traditional sports presentation, various sports activities, innovative sports and methods presentations, etc. Second day was dedicated for a non-formal conference - presentation of the project activities and results, discussions, sharing the best practices and innovations on social inclusion through physical activities, presentation of the local space and infrastructure applicability examples, networking activities, etc. More than 170 participants were involved in this 2 days meeting: project partners representatives, traditional and innovative sports teams, volunteers, specialists from the community health bureau, sport schools representatives, physical activity teachers from local schools, active leisure, sport services providers, municipal representatives, media representatives, community representatives, s.o.
