More entrepreneurship in sport - more sport for all

Background There is an absence of research on how practices in sport are entrepreneurial and innovative, something this project seeks to rectify. An entrepreneurial mindset can help sport policymakers and managers produce better decisions about how to propose solutions to sustainability of sporting organizations, especially when it comes to self-financing. This project points out all the aspects in which any sport club can generate income in different ways, excluding ticket sales or government support. Objectives - To examine the role of the sports entrepreneur and entrepreneurial process in new venture creation projects; - To develop more entrepreneurial thinking in sports-related ventures;- Identify the characteristics of the individual sport entrepreneur;- Demonstrate creativity and the business idea in sport entrepreneurs; - To encourage cooperation between EU and in partnership countries;- To build sustainable partnerships between organizations working in the field of youth and sports; Implementation Implementation included organization of 5 transnational project meetings with strong educational components, so we had Kick-off meeting, Educational meeting โ interpersonal skills, Educational meeting โ entrepreneurial skills ,Creative meeting in a form of a Workshop and Final evaluation meeting. Methodology implemented was designed and applied according to the type of the event, number of participants, topic and aimed results, using non-formal and informal teching and learning methods. Achievements - Strengthened cooperation among partners and externally with local stakeholders (sporting organizations - public and private, local decision makers and businesses)- Improved information base, knowledge, skills and competences of participants (management members of organizations and sport club, athletes and coaches)- 1 brochure on entrepreneurial/transversal skills, business development, good and bad practice examples- 3 educational videos developed- 1 poster designed by participants
