Sailing sport organizations' network „Salty KNOTS“

Background “Salty KNOTS” is a continuous collaborative network of five non-governmental non-profit sailing sport organizations from four different countries. The aim of this project is to strengthen non-professional sailing sports organizations, improve their management, encourage interaction between them, exchange different experiences, sharing of good ideas and practices, improvement of competences of sports organization managers and staff mobility promote sailing, improve the quality of sporting events. Objectives 1. To organize 5 international meetings.2. 40 members of Salty KNOTS organizations and at not less then 50 persons shall attend meetings and sport events.3. At least 10 Salty KNOTS members will attend and receive a Certificate in Maritime Safety Course.4. 8 members of the Salty KNOTS will participate in the organizing committee of the Capt. S. Kudzevicius Memorial Regatta.5. Not less then 10 volunteers will be involved in the Salty KNOTS project. Implementation Project was implemented from Jan 1 2020 till Dec 31, 2021. Mobility of the network members had been ensured. The five meetings were organized by Salty KNOTS members. In Nida members learned to sail all year round and participated in ice sailing race. In Klaipeda members was involved in organizing the sailing race. Basic sea safety training was organized in Latvia. In Estonia participants were in the training program and participated in regatta. Sailing mentors’ was took a place in Finland. Achievements 1. 5 international meetings were organized.2. 34 members of Salty KNOTS organizations participated in mobility activities. A total 49 members attended in the meetings and sport events.3. 8 Salty KNOTS members attended in Certificate in Maritime Safety Course and received the certificates. 4. 9 members of the Salty KNOTS have participated in the organizing committee of the the Capt. S. Kudzevicius Regatta. 5. 12 volunteers will be involved in the Salty KNOTS project.
