▶Summary
Background Talent is a project that stems from the need expressed by a group of relevant roller hockey stakeholders who claim the need to make a quantum and qualitative leap in the actual modus operandis in order to capture and better deal with the nowadays’ children’s exigencies.Partnership is composed of actors that developed very long experience in this sport and are representative in Europe. The project is proposed by the most important European Roller National Federations and a group of local Clubs. Objectives TALENT is an action that aims to innovate the approach to deliver the sport provision of the participating partners. This means, the possibility to explore the implementation of an approach that could improve the general situation on the participating children in sportive activities. At the same time, the project will work on raising children enrolment in the sportive activities exploiting a common work with the schools and other potential aggregate associations (scouts, church, etc.). Implementation The objectives are achieved by: i. carrying out actions able to return motivation among young people who practice sport in the participating Clubs; ii. creating a cross-‐sectorial approach mainly between sport and schools with the aim to increase children participation in physical activities; iii. creating a multi-‐dimension approach able to combine physical activities with other life components experimenting pilot projects; iv. improving the quality of youth teaching in the participating Achievements -Increased quality of contexts and quality of children lives by including an HEPA approach in the sportive proposals‐Increased children participation in health-Enhancing competencies and expertise of trainers in the participating Clubs‐Increased confidence of children thus impacting on many life fields and raising awareness that physical activity is an essential requirement for health‐Reduced of youth sport related activities drop-‐out-Improved sense of belonging
