Summary

Background KIDS+ represented the natural evolution of the previous project “KIDS -LET KIDS PLAY – EXPERIENCES FROM THE ROAD - (Grant Agreement no: 590375-EPP-1-2017-1-IT-SPO-SSCP)”, that enlarged the experience to a larger audience and to exploited the role of Padel, which is nowadays considered the sport that better attract people (no care who!) to physical activities. Objectives The Project reinforced a transnational network among five local PADEL clubs (from Spain, Italy and Portugal) and built a regular technical working group who reached a shared method to deliver padel competences among children and to study sporting on kids social wellness. One of the most important result was the opportunity allowed by the project to the coaches to learn one from each other and to exchange experiences and knowledge with a view to improving quality and upholding standards. Implementation Due to this working group peer-review activities (based on systematic good practices exchanges among coaches), an important technical output was achieved: a padel library and specific guidelines to be used in children teaching. This technical document includes the objective of each class, the explanations on how to teach the expected competences, some pictures, videos and the exercises to be implemented. Additionally, an important awareness building campaign took place in all contexts. Achievements . Increasing children participation in health-enhancing physical activities (involving both families and schools).•Improving padel teaching techniques and increasing quality with a particular attention placed on children wellness as a whole and the reinforcement of the “sport-for-all” approach.•Increasing the European coaches network with the aim of creating a permanent benchmarking group among local clubs. •Increasing technical and scientific contents applied to the padel techniques
