Summary

Background The focus of SUGAPAS project aims to change students’ (adolescents and teenagers) behavior towards physical activity being aware about their body and nutrition. It tries to satisfy the following needs: -to change the sedentary behavior of young people in EU-to change the nutrition habits of young people in EU -to promote a healthy lifestyle of young people in EU-to overcome barriers to physical activity of adolescents and teenagers Objectives O1: To implement learning activities for supporting students’ awareness and knowledge about -Physical Activity and participation in sports-Healthy nutrition habits-Healthy lifestyleO2: To design and develop digital content, for supporting the deployment of learning activities, through a gamified e-learning platformO3: To design and develop serious games for Healthy lifestyleO4: To organize an online “Health and Wellness Observatory Implementation The methodology for implementing the project is presented in deliverable ΙΟ23 - Project Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation Plan.The project includes appropriate phases for preparation (needs analysis and educational design), implementation (platform, serious game & content development), monitoring management, implementation monitoring, quality control and impact assessment), evaluation (expert, technical validation and pedagogical), and dissemination Achievements SUGAPAS serious game for PA, nutrition habits & healthy lifestyle (IO3 and IO7)SUGAPAS pedometer application fully interconnected with the serious game (IO3 and IO7)A school oriented, safe and online community of practise focused on better health and adopting physical activity (IO4, IO5 and IO7)Health and Wellness Observatory (IO6 and IO7)
