Summary

Background The project involved exchange of observations, experiences and ideas in the field of sport activities and physical culture among elderly people. The project allowed to increase the knowledge among people who work with seniors. The project was attended by organisations from Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia and Italy. It was an opportunity for partner organisations to strengthen their cooperation in this area. Objectives Main project’s goal was to promote sport disciplines that are popular among seniors in partners’ countries, propagating active lifestyle among seniors. Project’s goals were:1) Good practices exchange in regard to sport activities realized by project’s partners 2) Increasing consciousness’ level in regard to different methods of seniors’ sport mobilization3) Promotion of sport disciplines 4) International sport integration5) Development of international cooperation in the field of sport Implementation The project was divided into three stages. First stage: the management team was established (CIL), the team have created a group on the FB to communicate with the participants of the project, undertook preparatory activities to organise an international meeting (setting the date, accommodation). Second: Organisation of a three-day international meeting in Poland. Third: Organisation of information meetings with each partner, creation a blog, preparation of a newsletter with recommendations. Achievements Meeting in Poland with the participation of representatives from Ukraine, Slovakia and Italy; 4 summary meetings; 4 presentations about methods of sport and physical activity in different European countries; 1 international blog; newsletter; strengthening cooperation with 3 European countries, exchange of good practices in the field of sport activities, raising awareness on methods of sport activation of seniors, promotion of sport disciplines popular among seniors.
