โ–ถSummary

Background The starting point of this project was to tackle different connected problems: the early sport specialization & progressive dropout from sports practice, the limited awareness towards the multisport benefits by parents, their practical difficulties to face alone the challenges of a multisport proposal, the resistance from sports clubs to accept a collaborative approach among them, the marginalization of minor sports, the consequence of all this on the low level of youth physical literacy. Objectives The project aimed to promote a multisport approach to physical literacy by designing a model of practices that unifies the richness of territorial sports offer and the educational concerns for balanced growth & empowerment of youth based on improved soft skills. The multisport culture should facilitate a reverse perspective: from young people at the service of sport, to sport at the service of young people, putting at the centre their needs and desires in terms of wellbeing & personal fulfilment Implementation During the project, there has always been a constant alternation between the European dimension and the local Dimension, and so a constant alternation between a research phase followed by a testing phase. By conducting TMPs, the project implemented an initial phase of research of best practices on Multisport, a practical experimentation activity during the pandemic, the creation of Multisport Models, which were then tested in the final phase of the project and included in the digital platform. Achievements Thanks to our project, we were able to achieve these results: -12 best practices on Multisport collected-9 Multisport Models created -408 children attending the Multisport testing activities in 4 countries-26 participants attending the final conference from 18 countries -9 Multisport Models adopted for future activities by the partners
