Sportification: Using Gamification in Physical Activities and Sport Activities

Background The project aimed at increasing, promoting and encouraging participation of young people across the EU in sports and PA activities. SPORTIFICATION is the term used by us throughout our project, being a concept that combines SPORT and GAMIFICATION. Combining Sport and Gamification we aim throughout this project to apply gamification methods into physical and sport activities. Objectives Objective 1. Develop learning opportunities, based on specific tools such as websites, apps, online tests, manuals, etc in sports and PA for young people.Objective 2. Increase knowledge and enrich existing research on how to use gamification for participation of young people in sports and PA activities.Objective 3. Develop instruments and methodologies to be used by instructors and other sports and PA eductaors. Implementation The implementation of the project was carried out by a consortium of 5 partners from Romania, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal.Wihtin the project, we had 3 physical Transnational Project Meetings that took place in Romania, Italy, Portugal; we had 5 Multiplier Events one in each country; we developed 5 Intellectual Outputs.Each partner has contributed equally to the development of the Intellectual Outputs and each partner has sucessfully organized a Multiplier Event in their community.
