V for Volunteering
▶Summary
Background “V for Volunteering” is a small collaborative partnership project under the sport action of Erasmus+ programme, which aimed at increasing the number of persons involved in volunteering mainly in sports in Romania, Turkey and Spain, but at the international level as well.It was implemented between 2020-2021 by Yellow Shirts, CS Stiinta Baia Mare (Romania), Associacio Cultura Creativa (Spain) and Genclik Mevsimi (Turkey). Objectives 1. To create and maintain 1 platform throughout the project, for promoting sport results, sport events and volunteering in sport opportunities, which would reach at least 3.000 subscribers2. To develop and test 1 training course online with materials and information for preparing the 200 international volunteers in sport events3. To develop organisational, communicational and digital competences of 20 persons through 100 local events, 1 training course and 1 tournament Implementation The main activities were the project management, promotion and information, organising transnational supportive meetings, as well as developing and testing the materials for training volunteers in sports (manual and a practical course), local activities involving sport promotion and engaging sport clubs, and organising a beach volleyball tournament as a practical context for the training and forming volunteers in sports. Achievements The results are: 1 summer and 1 winter sports compendium, 1 survey related to the experiences in sport volunteering, 1 training manual and 1 practical course related to the training and preparation of volunteers in sports, with general aspects about the event; 1 organised beach volleyball tournament with 16 males and 8 female teams in Baia Mare; involving 2763 participants in 138 local activities.
