Summary

Background As the European Commission’s White Paper on Sport have stated, sport has significant potential as a tool to promote education, health, intercultural dialogue, and European values that are transmitted through it, to help expand the knowledge, motivation and skills in the educational, professional and personal growth. The coordinator and the partners succeed to emerge the ETS concept and encouraged young people to develop through sport skills of the future, matching them with the EntreComp model. Objectives The main objective of the project was to promote education in and through sport with a special focus on transversal entrepreneurial skills development among youth, by elaborating a Handbook with a new methodology. Other objectives were the exchange of good practices & expertise regarding the 15 EntreComp competences & matching the 15 key entrepreneurial transversal competences connecting the youth from the 2 EU Member States (BG, LV) & a country from Western Balkans (RNM) and promoting the EWoS. Implementation The 3 partner organizations have successfully implemented the innovative ETS approach for transversal skill development among youth by celebrating the European Week of Sport through 3 transnational meetings in RNM, Bulgaria,Latvia with their representatives.Also they created a digital & a printed version of the Handbook “InnoSkills Through Sport” that represented the new methodology, based on the exchanged good practices, ideas & methods in different areas related to sport & physical activity. Achievements Along with the transnational events, the partner organizations created an online platform in English for sharing and promoting the project activities such as news for the 2 online conference and the 3 transnational events, as well as demonstrated video materials with the new methodology and the digital version of the Handbook “InnoSkills Through Sport”. The online platform is an Open Educational Resource with free and easy access for anyone interested across the EU and Western Balkans.
