The European Institute of Hockey
▶Summary
Background To increase the value of its programmes, the EHF wishes to establish a framework for sharing strong grassroots structures, good governance and skills between all members within the European hockey family. This will be achieved by working collaboratively with some established and emerging national associations to create the Institute for Hockey. The EIH will ensure that best practice can be shared and developed together to maximise the knowledge transference and the growth of skills. Objectives The European Institute for Hockey (EIH) objective is to deliver world class education to support national growth which will be applied through the lens of the Erasmus+ topic… “Promote education in and through sport with special focus on skills development, as well support the implementation of the EU Guidelines on Dual Careers of Athletes”. The EIH will enable the societal role of sport to be presented by the European Hockey Federation encouraging, promoting, developing and supporting nations. Implementation The project will establish the institute with an educational structure within the timeline (36months) to deliver 9 (nine) intellectual outputs that will form a bridge between national qualifications systems/pathways. These will deliver the development frameworks for the network of EHF members through the establishment of sustainable structures to promote education from the ground up (grassroots) across Europe with strategic programme pillars across coaches, officials, athletes and governance.
