Summary

Background SafeSPORTevent aimed to protect athletes, officials and fans, participating in sport events through empowerment of sport experts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. SafeSPORTevent Outputs: Good practices toolkit edition Safe Sport Event; Empowered sport managers, administrators and volunteers; Delivered international training “Complex security environment and Sport” and implemented local training courses. Objectives Capacity building and empowerment of sport managers, administrators and volunteers and transfer of good practices between EU and Western Balkans countries as well as new practically tested tools for sport experts to prevent (if possible) and react during forcemajor events in sport field. Wide dissemination about the importance of safety and security in sport, as well as sustainable edition as project legacy, available freely online and on the project webpage: www.safesportevent.net Implementation #SafeSPORTevent has been managed by strict implementation of the following WP,reflecting the reach of project objectives through detailed activities plan:WP1: Project management and implementationWP2: Transnational educational mobilities of sport managers, administrators and volunteersWP3: Good practices toolkit edition Safe Sport Event including practical brochures (protocols) for Safe Sport EventWP4: Dissemination and visibilityMild discrepancies in schedule has been recorded,due to COVID Achievements Empowered sport experts, as well as practical edition #SafeSPORTevent, which can be truly useful tool for sport entities, organizing sport events and activities. Capacity building of the organizations directly and indirectly involved in the action. Wide dissemination and raising awareness on the safety and security in sport and hopefully – quality implementation of the safety and security protocols on practice, which will reduce potential threats.
