Background Social inclusion potential of organized sport activities has been highlighted by sport associations and organizations. Idea behind is that sport is international, does not require strong language abilities and follows rules that are not difficult to manage. However, level of participation in sport is low, especially of those facing fewer opportunities. The need of increasing inclusion of people facing fewer opportunities was present in 5 partner NGOs who formed collaboration for this project. Objectives 1. Promoted via ferrata as leisure time sport in 5 countries and denied existing myths that it is difficult, requiring professional skillset and expensive.2. Increased number of people facing fewer opportunities participating in partners organized activities by 50%.3. Analysed needs of different target groups facing fewer opportunities and developed strategies how to address them and encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sports for them. Implementation Organizing 27 via ferrata activities in partner countries and involving 452 people facing fewer opportunities:-economic obstacles 7 events, involving 121 people-social obstacles 7 events, involving 117 people-geographical obstacles 7 events, involving 125 people-dissemination via ferrata for all above mentioned fewer opportunities, total 6 events, 89 people involved Achievements Tangible27 via ferrata activities, 452 people facing fewer opportunities involvedPhotos and videos from eventsProject websiteIntangibleWe attracted more people facing f.o. to participate in this sport as before they assumed it is β€œnot for them”. We addressed the needs of target groups facing f.o. directly and with focus on them which resulted in significant increase of people facing f.o. participation in sport. We increased physical activity and social inclusion of sensitive target group.
