Background The goal of this project is to educate and equip volunteers for participating in organization of national and international sporting events also to equip volunteers for assisting people with disabilities in sporting events thus fostering social inclusion, equal opportunities in sport Objectives - Strengthening the capacity of volunteers to participate in sport events/competitions and increasing the number of volunteers educated to support sports events/competitions for persons with and without disabilities- Promoting volunteering in a sporting context- Facilitate accessibility of volunteer services for organizers of sport events by developing Sports Volunteer Application- Strengthening capacity of organizers of sports events for recruitment of volunteers and on volunteer management Implementation Project was implemented in 5 countries with participation of over 250 volunteers and 50 sport event organizers. We have organized 5 TPMโs and implemented all the activities in scope of the 6 proposed work packages. All main project outputs โ Best Practice Research Report, Sport Volunteer Educational Modules, Capacity building activities, Sport Volunteer Guidelines and Sport Volunteer app were delivered. Achievements 1.minimum of 250 volunteers educated,2.minimum 50 organizers of sport events educated on Volunteer Management3.5 round tables organized with decision makers and relevant stakeholders4.Minimum 50 educated volunteers gained practical experience by participating in sport events (one for disabled persons and one for non-disabled) 5.Developed Best Practice Research Report, Sport Volunteer Educational Modules, Capacity building activities, Sport Volunteer Guidelines and Sport Volunteer app
