Background The aim of the project ''Building bridges through traditional dancing'' was to introduce European traditional dances as a tool for social inclusion of disadvantaged groups in the society and to promote them as an alternative form of physical exercise. The main outcome of the project was the encouragement of people of all ages and backgrounds to learn traditional dances and benefit in multiple ways by developing at the same time soft skills. Objectives 1. The promotion of traditional dancing as an alternative form of exercise.2. The use of traditional dancing as a tool of intercultural dialogue and social inclusion 3. The reinforcement of the interest of the citizens to learn traditional dancing and consequently the preservation of cultural identity4. The facilitation of the inclusion of people from different backgrounds in dancing activities, by supporting the education in and through traditional dances in an open and safe environment Implementation Firstly, we created a manual, analyzing similarities and differences between the dances of the different nations (Greece, Turkey, Serbia and Croatia) and even between the dances of different regions in the same country. Moreover, we have organised 10 local traditional dancing events and 1 large scale event to promote traditional dances among the participating countries.Finally, we created tutorials of teaching traditional dances on Youtube, where everyone will be able to learn the steps easily. Achievements - ''HOROS'' Traditional dances manual in EN, GR, TR, SRB, HR, AR- 40 tutorial videos on traditional dances from Greece, Turkey, Serbia and Croatia with over 50000 views: https://www.youtube.com/@horosproject8763- Project Website http://euhoros.com/- 40 traditional dances events and 4 big events with over 1600 participants in the 4 participating countries
