Summary

Background Sport is an outstanding tool that has the power to create meaningful values. Sport is an accessible tool for acquiring different skills and competencies. We believe that sport plays a much bigger role, as it is a perfect setting for social cohesion by providing opportunities for meetings and exchanges between people of different gender, abilities and nationality or from different cultures, thereby strengthening the culture of “living together”. Objectives Our project “FUNctional inclusion training for everyone” is a small collaborative partnership that allows a group of three organization from Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia to collaborate in the establishment of a transnational network aiming to create, test and implement an innovative set of tools combining sport training with non-formal education and skills acquisition towards a sustainable, open and respectful grassroot-sport environment. Implementation We established a highly effective and efficient partnership within the entire project team. This ensured smooth implementation of the project and timely delivery of quality results. Activities of the partnership were monitored and discussed during the entire project duration in view of the expected achievements. Our main goal was to successfully implement our project and so our methodology was results orientated and project were contents orientated. Achievements The project allowed the exchange of experience and good practices. Some of the results are:- Open, integrated guide fostering practice implementation of social inclusion techniques in different sports;- Database of best practices and practical cases and learning tools in the field of social inclusion in sport;- Encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport by developing intra and extra personal skills of different target groups.
