โ–ถSummary

Background The educational practice of outdoor sports presents various interests (environmental awareness, immersion in an environment, transmission of values ...) but this implies specific conditions of implementation on the part animators, teachers, sports instructors. The practice of rowing in particular has a certain pedagogical interest in learning autonomy, security and living together and is a privileged means of contact with the natural environment. Objectives The Rowing an outdoor sport for education - ROSE Project aims to promote education in and through the practice of rowing, developing the skills of sports instructors and teachers in 3 fields (Health / Inclusion / Environment) in order to strengthen links between the school environment and the sports Stackholders. the objective is through the sharing of experiences inside and outside the school curriculum to build and test concrete educational situations using the practice of rowing. Implementation the implementation of the project took place in several phases. a first phase of territorial diagnostics on the 3 selected themes (Health, Environment and Inclusion). a second phase of construction of educational solutions using at least one of the 3 modes of rowing practice (INdoor / Olympic and Coastal). The third and last phase aimed to test the educational solutions during an event bringing together all the project stakeholders with a test group of young Europeans from the project countries. Achievements the project has made it possible to highlight the differences and similarities of access to the practice of rowing in the different countries through the realization of the 3 territorial diagnoses. it has made it possible to discover various solutions both in terms of school practice and sports practice in order to offer practical, reusable and adaptable educational solutions for using rowing as a teaching tool. The project was a fantastic opportunity for exchange and development of the skills.
