Background This project was based on the results of the Projects: Intergenerational Olympics 2015 (560956-EPP-1-2015-1-EN-SPO-SNCESE) and In Common Sports (590543 -EPP-1-2017-1-PT-SPO- SCP). These projects identified and promoted new activities encouraging the integration of people aged 60 and over in sporting programs and contributing towards a healthy lifestyle, the latter being awarded 1st prize at Beactiveawards2023 โ€“ Across Generations. Objectives Based on the collection and review of literature of adapted games and training programs for the elderly,the project team proposed to design, test and validate adapted sports and training programs suited to the needs of the elderly based in the Olympics4all, as well as to create a link between diet, exercise and quality-of-life. At the end, all the information collected forms part of a unique tool that provides information about the project in an intuitive, practical and appealing way. Implementation As a result of COVID-19, some actions were limited during 2021, however, the objectives were achieved: In practical terms, 1616 people were involved in activities, 26 assessment moments involving 473 elderly people who also participated weekly in physical activity training ; 21 sports competitions involving 874 participants where adapted sports games were tested; 366 questionnaires applied to understand eating habits; 9 Multiplier Sport Events promoted covering 639 people Achievements Literature review:better understanding of Physical Activity interventions among elderly and identification of adapted sports and existing traditional games for people with health limitations.Design,testing and validation of specific physical activity programs,adapted sports and traditional games that resulted in a unique tool to reproduce the Olympics4all concept in other territories.Report on participantsโ€™ nutritional habits: a report and a leaflet.
