β–ΆSummary

Background The project β€˜Get Skilled.Get Empowered: Do Sport!’ was implemented with the aim to raise capacities of organizations working with youth representing North Macedonia, Serbia, Denmark and Slovakia and sport club representing North Macedonia to promote sport as an essential tool of youth development. They raised their capacities to include sport based activities at their work with young people and moreover they also shared good practices in implementing sport based activities in their communities. Objectives The key project objectives were set following: to explore the possibilities that offers sport in the context of positive youth development; to develop capacities of the organizations to include sport into their practices with aim to empower young people and to support development of their skills and to support sharing good practices and developing new innovative practices aiming to increase quality of services provided by organizations working in the field of youth. Implementation The process of implementation of the project β€˜Get Skilled.Get Empowered: Do Sport!’ was strongly influenced by the pandemic COVID -19. Besides all difficulties we managed to realize key activities as well as we managed to create the booklet and shared it through our network. We also created ideas for future ideas that we planned to develop in the upcoming period with the support of the Erasmus + Programme. Achievements Key results of the project β€˜Get Skilled.Get Empowered: Do Sport!’ are a series of research activities, a booklet of good practices and a website created and made available to the wider public to promote using sport as a tool for youth development and increased capacities of involved organizations and individuals to apply sport at their work.
