Background The EECEME is build upon the idea that Regular Physical activity is fundamental for child Growth and Development, and provide a range of physical and mental health benefits. Despite that, very high numbers of children have developmental delay in motor skills competence. Moreover, many children remain inactive due to several reason: tablets and smartphones; increased time in buggies; screen time; lack of active transport; busy working parents. Objectives The eeceme project, propose to promote in early childhood an healthy and active lifestyle developing and strenghtening the skills of the professional workers. Among the EECEME Objectives: Newly methodological approach regarding the promotion of healthy lifestyle in early childhood; Elaboration of specific training materials, in which different professional workers with child, learnt how to improve their communication skills to transmit healthylifestyle notions. Implementation The project developed following a few points: The identification of best practices within local communities; The creation of a manual for instructors; The implementation of personalized intervention programs; The identification of a policy that was able to guide future actions, with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles and more active children. Achievements EECEME developed intervention programs aimed at providing training and practical activities focusing on different aspects, for example: development of gross motor skills by providing tools to enhance children's development of gross and fine motor skills, develop coordination and simultaneously develop cognitive and social skills; Nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Improve communication skills to correctly motivate children to approach physical activity and correct lifestyles.
